FS301 Thinking of You

I'm slowly getting back on track with the daily challenges. This card was made for the Featured Stamper 2 wks ago. We (my 8 yr old daughter) chose this CARD. Things I changed: Colors & Cuttlebug EF I used GP White cs as the base as well as the 2nd layer. I used SU Festive DP for the blue dotted paper. I used the SU bird builder using SU Cherry Cobbler cs with kraft branches. I used my new Cuttlebug Flower EF & then tied a tan ribbon.

FS302 Merry Christmas

This was made for the Featured Stamper. I chose Shadow's Mom card as my inspiraton. Here's her CARD Things I changed: Omitted the flowers, added the bird & lots of pearls. I used SU Cherry Cobbler cs as the base, then layered with the SU Festive Matt Stack doubled sided dp as the 2nd layer, ran it through the Cuttlebug Quilted Embossing Folder. I cut a strip of kraft cs, ran it through the crimper & used scissors for it to look like a banner. I then cut a strip of SU Cherry Cobbler, then used the MS border punch, added pearls & a strip of SU printed dp. I then used a large circle punch, ran that through the Cuttlebug using a flower embossing folder, the circle is raised using 3D dots. I used the SU bird punch then decided the card needed more pearls. I also felt it needed the sentiment placement too, so I made a small one then stamped the sentiment with black stazon.

Dog Tote Bag

I decided to make another tote bag, but this will be my last until after October. In October I'll be making my handmade cards for the Hope You Can Cling Challenge. This year is Extra Special to me & I'm dedicating every single card which I plan on making 75 of them to my late & dear friend who recently passed away of cancer. This bag is for his other sister. I was told she loves dogs, cats & peacocks so I went with the dogs. She'll be surprised when she receives it from me. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used polyester batting.

Bear Tote

I made this for a dear friend that I haven't even met, we connected after her brother passed away. I thought I would make her this bag since she gave me the idea of putting "In Memory of" on the back of my Breast Challenge cards in honor of her brother. When I seen this fabric, I had to make this for her. She likes bears & rabbits. All fabrics are 100% cotton, I used polyester batting.

Bronco Tote Bag

Since I've been making my Charger bags as I am a Big time Charger fan being from San Diego but living in Denver. My girlfriend & neighbor asked me to make her a Bronco tote bag. She requested to have a pocket on the outside long enough to put the tickets in. I cut out the sentiment, then appliqued it onto the orange fabric of the pocket. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used polyester batting. She loved the bag & she said it was perfect to go through security because I left off the button closure.

Charger Tote Bags

I asked my mom who resides in San Diego to see if they had any Charger fabric, well as you can see they did. I made 3 tote bags & still have enough for 1 more. I need more fabric. I've been getting several requests to make for people. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used polyester batting.

Southwest Tote

I wanted to make a tote bag for a friend. She liked the deep oranges & I didn't really have anything in my stash that popped out at me so I bought this printed fabric & I made this tote. I must say this is one of my favorites. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used polyester batting.

Fabric Pencil Cases

Ever since I seen fabric pencil cases on my daughter's 4th class, my husband said I could make one, but if I make one I'll have to make one for my 3rd grader of course. Well after looking through the internet for an easy pattern or tutorial, I couldn't find one that I could understand the directions to. I decided to come up with my own design & directions, these are what I came up with. I used pre-quilted fabrics the same as I made their back packs with. I wish I had more of the green fabric, but didn't & my oldest daughter was ok with the brown as well as my younger daughter loved her white one with the flowers. All fabric is 100% cotton.

Teal & Green Tote

I've been making quilted tote bags for years now & since I found some great pen pals on Split Coast Stampers I've made several of them for each & every one. This is for another pen pal, I think I have 1 more to make as far as that goes. My pen pals seemed to love their totes so that makes me feel good. This particular one, she liked the teals & greens together so this is what I came up with. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used polyester batting.

Cream/Brown Back Pack

Well, I felt I needed to make Erin's back pack because Kaitlyn's was done. Erin picked her pre-quilted 2 sided fabric out also. I was only going to start on it, but ended up finishing it until 2:00am on a work night even. Erin wanted the straps brown along with the pocket & bottom. I think this came out pretty cute. I made my own pocket again, used Velcro on the main pocket for the closure, then there's an opening behind the pocket too.

Quilted Back Pack

My 7yr daughter was looking through my quilting magazines & she found a quilted back pack & asked if I could make one for her. I took her & her 9yr sister to Joanns to pick out any pre-quilted fabrics. They didn't have much of a girly selection so we settled for this, which is pretty. This ended up being Kaitlyn's who's my 9yr daughter. I'll be making Erin's this week because I took her to another Joanns & she found some cute prints using browns & creams with flowers. I think this came out pretty good, it took me awhile but I did it for being my first one. Here's the link to Pons & Porter for The Love of Quilting March/April 2005 issue of the magazine. It's called the Groovy Back Pack.

Breast cancer tote

I made this for my neighbor who I thought needed a bag too since I made her 3 daughters tote bags. Her sister has or had breast cancer & she mentioned that she liked the ribbon fabric & I had it so this was perfect. Her colors were black, charcoals & pinks. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used polyester batting.

Black dotted tote

I made this bag for a friendly neighbor who just got out of the hospital. She loves pink, black & white so my daughter picked out the fabrics. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I lined it with polyester batting.

Peace Bag

Well my 9yr old daughter asked me to make a smaller bag using younger fabrics for girls. I was going to make a regular tote then switched directions & went for a rectangle. It has a Velcro closure. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used thin polyester batting. I'll be making more of these.
