Kids cards

My 7yr daughter wanted to make a card with me for the Featured Stamper. It was actually her idea to use hearts rather than butterflies. She changed hers up a little by raising the solid heart with a 3D dot. She also added a mini rhinestone to the sentiment on the letter "i". I let her use my SU inks and the dp is from Basic Grey. The sentiment is stamped with black stazon.

My 6yr old daughter wanted to make a card for her little girlfriend. I let her pick out 6 dp's from Joanns today, she loves cheetah prints & cut up different shapes, layered them. She added glitter star stickers and stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink on black cs.

IC266 Ladybug Frame

This is for the inspiration challenge, we had to choose something from Stephen Joseph Gifts site so I found this cute ladybug FRAME to make my creation. My girls want me to make more of these frames.
I chose to alter a frame. I had these $1 wooden frames I was going to make the girls so I thought this would be perfect.

I started with DCWV pink striped dp. I cut a strip of DCWV textured lime card stock. I used scissors to cut a curvy line. I stamped the stems with SU Green Galore ink directly onto the pink dp. I then stamped the flowers with versa mark ink, used white embossing powder, then heat gun to set directly onto the pink dp. I stamped a mini heart with SU real red ink, then went over it with a SU real red marker. I stamped the big lady bugs with black stazon, colored with a SU Real Red marker, then cut out. I cut the head separate then, adhered to the body. (The head is away from the body on the original stamp). I used a white Signa pen to make the white spots on the lady bugs. The only crawling lady bugs I had were going the opposite direction so I made do. I stamped the small lady bugs with black stazon directly on the dp's, colored with a SU Real Red marker & white Signa pen. I also added white dots for all the eyes of the lady bugs with the white Signa pen. I used the white Signa pen to make stitching marks around the big lady bug.

It took awhile only because I was trying to find the perfect BIG lady bug. I enjoyed making this frame, I may hang it in the girls room.

I hope this was ok for the challenge because it's not a card.

Why is that I start an idea for a card at 11:00pm when I should be sleeping on a work night? Oh well, here's my card:

I then used the CB Dots folder on SU Real Red cs, then layered with SU Basic Black cs. I also used a strip of GP white cs, ran it through the CB Dots folder, then layered with SU Basic Black cs. I had these cute 3D stickers that were the perfect color combo, so I decided to adhere it to the GP white cs, I also layered with SU Basic Black cs. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon. I attached the 3D ladybug on top.

Once I adhered everything with my tacky tape, it was to late to add any ribbon.
I had everything ready to make this into a Mickey Mouse card, I just couldn't make it work.

Paper:SU Basic Black cs, SU Real Red cs, GP White cs
Ink:Black stazon
Stamps:Hedgehog Happiness

Wanted for Alex

I made this card for Alex who is an injured officer who is also a friend of Barbie50. I was browsing the forums last night and found this link that Barbie POSTED asking people to make cards.
I did this last year for my mom's 85th birthday, it's a great feeling knowing that people are willing to send cards to people they don't even know.

I cased this great CARD by Vickie Y.
I used SU Chocolate Chip cs as the base. I layered with The Paper Company Metallic Brown cs. I also used unknown teal dp, sponged with SU Chocolate Chip ink. I used the CB Textile folder on a strip of the Metallic Brown cs, layered on a piece of SU Taken With Teal cs. I wrapped 2 pieces of ribbon around the metallic cs & tied a knot. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon. I also added 3 gold adhesive rhinestones to the bottom. I was given these great western images from my pen pal Connie (KittyKat) on SCS, this was the perfect opportunity to use one. I colored with my primascolor pencils, mineral spirits & also sponged around the edges, then layered with SU Chocolate Chip cs.

Here's to Alex on getting better.

I stamped the sentiment with black stazon for the center circle.
I think this would make a perfect card for my BIL's birthday, do you think?

After gluing all the circles, I realized the middle row is further down from the top row, didn't want to start over.

Things I changed: punch, circles & colors

Paper:SU Chocolate Chip cs, GP white cs
