I needed to make a card for my pen pal to send along with her goodies. I got the inspiration from WeeBeeStampin and you can see her card here.
I used Brocade Blue cs as the base. I layered with Real Red cs and again with GP white cs. I ran the CB Swiss Dot folder through the white cs. I cut 2 Brocade Blue squares (2.5 x 2.5) and used my SU matt stack for measure of gold self adhesive rhinestones. I stamped the image with black stazon on GP white cs. I colored with SU markers. I used a 2 way glue pen on the wings and added Diamond Dust. I also used a page pebble clear puffed sticker over the flag. I then stamped the sentiment with black stazon using a Studio G $1 clear stamp. I layered with real red cs. The main image is raised with 3D squares.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Hope all the dads had a nice Father's Day. My husband chose to BBQ at the pool today and just enjoy the sunshine and being around friends. My 2 daughters were already to go without even asking him. After all day spending the day at the pool, I knew I still had to make a birthday card for a co-worker who asked me to make his daughter. She loves skulls and pink. This is what I looked at the featured stamper this week who is Pam Hooten and chose this card:
I started with rose romance cs as the base. I layered with GP white cs and used the CB Swiss Dot folder. I also layered with SU basic black cs and again with rose romance and used the CB Swiss Dot folder. I used the CB Beware embossing skull and die cut. I used a bow punch and added a self adhesive pearl to the bow. I used pink glitter brads for the eyes. The skull is raised with a 3D square. I added a strip of ribbon to the corner and stamped the sentiment onto GP white cs with black stazon. I used a chipboard label holder and added 2 mini pink brads on each side. I love the way this came out and hopefully my co-worker will too.
Stamps:Studio G $1 stamp
Accessories:chipboard label holder, mini brads, ribbon, glitter brads, 3D squares, CB Swiss Dot folder, CB Beware folder and die cut, bow punch, self adhesive pearl
Paper:SU rose romance, SU basic black, GP white cs

This is the stuff I'm sending to my secret sister on Split Coast Stampers. I tried to keep a theme going, but it didn't happen that way. There's a few things she has specifically, I still can't say who it's for until after she receives it. I'm sending it tonight. I'm hoping she'll like my tote bag.

I made this yellow patchwork tote bag for the owner's wife that I work for. I previously made her a yellow tote bag but it wasn't big enough. I told her that I would make her another one on me. The first one I made was with my new Singer sewing machine and I think I rushed through by not making accurate seams and the bag ended up being smaller than it should be.
All fabrics are 100% cotton and I used Warm & Natural batting.

Well I decided to become in the spirit with Flag Day being tomorrow as well as my 12th wedding anniversary. (That's the only way my husband remembers). I decided to make 2 Americana tote bags using the same directions as the Moda Bake Shop Charm Bag which you can find here.
The one on the left is for my secret sister which is part of our pen pal group at Kotas on Split Coast Stampers. Every 4 months or so, we draw names and send each other surprise boxes. It's so much fun. There's a hint on the tote bag, but can't say whom it's for yet. I'll be posting more that goes with the tote bag on Tuesday. The other tote bag is for my twin sister who asked me to make her one so I made 2 at the same time. All fabrics are 100% cotton and I used Warm & Natural for the batting. I cut a piece of 12 X 3.5 strip of plastic place mat and made an insert for the bottom of the bag so it's more sturdy.
