Flannel Baseball Quilt

I've just been a busy little bee lately. I just finished this flannel baseball baby quilt tonight. I started last night, finished the top and then continued to finish it tonight. I made this for one of our drivers who had a baby boy last November. I kept putting it off, but finally got it done. This is the fist time I ever sewn using flannels.

FS160 Moments

I was able to make a quick card in between making baby quilts. I cased this card from AngellaDCrockett gallery which she was the Featured Stamper this week on Splitcoaststampers.
used GP white cs as the base for 5.5 X 5.5 card. I layered with SU black cs and again with Paper Pizazz dp. I used the SU matt stack with my piercing tool around the edges. I then used the corner photo punch on SU black cs, added small & medium self adhesive pearls to the corners. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon on GP white cs, used the large scallop circle punch, used the piercing tool around the scallop. I then used chalk slightly around the scallops. I used a large circle punch onto SU black cs and adhered it to the white scallop as well as the paper lace doily.

Stamps:TPC Studio Clear Playful Expressions
Paper:Paper Pizazz DP, GP white cs, SU black cs
Accessories:Paper doily, small & medium self adhesive pearls, corner punch, large scallop punch, large circle punch, SU matt stack, piercing tool, chalk

Going Green Quilted Tote Bag

I found this cute fabric at Joanns that Debbie Mumm puts out. It's actually a pre-made panel tote bag, but I thought it was to big for my taste, so I modified it the way I liked it. The actual size of the bag was 22 inches wide.I thought this bag would be perfect for me since I am on the Green Committee at work. I get a lot of comments whenever I bring it to work.

I used bliss blue as the base of the card. I stamped the image with black stazon onto GP white cs. I used the SU matt stack plus piercing tool to make the 2 rows on top. I added 2 colored ribbons and tied the knots with the opposite colors. I colored the lion with SU markers and stamped the sentiment with black stazon.

Cowboy Tote Bag

I wanted to make my girlfriend a tote bag for her baby shower this coming weekend. She is having a boy, I thought this cowboy print fabric was perfect to make a tote bag with. I've been addicted to these cute tote bags from the Moda Bake Shop website, great recipes for quilt making and little projects such as this cute tote bag. All fabrics are 100% cotton and I used warm & natural batting.

Kaitlyn's Log Cabin Quilt

It was time to my other daughter Kaitlyn a quilt since I made my youngest daughter Erin a quilt last September. Believe I was reminded every month by Kaitlyn about when I was going to make her one. I took Kaitlyn to Joanns, she picked out the fabrics. She wanted the blues, teals, browns and I suggested the cream tone on tone. All fabrics are 100% cotton and the quilt pattern is a Log Cabin by Eleanor Burns.
Now I have to make pillow cases for both of them to match their new quilts.

Get Well Soon Bear

I wanted to make a get well soon card for a co-worker who's 5yr daughter was having surgery to remove a cancerous tumor next to her kidney. She's been in the hospital for 2wks. I bought this new Penny Black stamp at Archiver's and thought this would be perfect.
I used rose romance as the base, ran the CB Swiss dot folder on the front. I layered with GP white cs, bliss blue cs and pink cs and again ran the CB Swiss dot folder on the blue & pink cs. I stamped the image with black stazon onto SU glossy white cs, used SU markers to color. I used the CB Heart die cuts on bliss blue and GP white cs. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon from Mini Mates. I added a polka dot ribbon underneath the image, then tied a bow. The image is raised with 3D dots.
I got an update tonight that the surgery went well. She should be out of the hospital next week.

SC264 Fising' Birthday

Here's my card that I forgot to upload a few weeks ago. I needed to make another masculine birthday card so this is it.
I started with more mustard as the base. I layered with DCWV dp. The strips are layered with DCWV dp and real red cs. I added a strip of more mustard underneath the image, added 2 mini silver stick beads to each side. I stamped the images with black stazon, masked the basket and plants. I colored with primascolor pencils, mineral spirits & blending stumps. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon onto watercolor cs.
I'm always trying to make cards that relates to seafood, lighthouse, ocean views because of the work industry I'm in. This is a perfect set to use.

This is another tote bag that I've been making. This was actually ordered by the owner's wife of the company I work for, she wanted mostly yellows. I used all 100% cotton. I got the directions from Moda Bake Shop, if you click on the button, you'll see a bunch of great step by step instructions on so many projects. I just love that website.
