There's nothing like waiting 'til the last minute to decide to make my daughter's poodle skirts. I made these the night before the party. Their little friend had a 50's sock hop 6th birthday party, it was so cute to see all the kids in their cute clothes. My husband even dressed in his jeans, biker boots & bike jacket.

I started out using light DCWV textured cs, cut it to a square card. I punched out medium circles and small circles. I didn't have any glitter white or black dp so I embossed with white ep onto the white med circles and embossed with black ep onto the black med circles using the heat gun. I then used the Coluzzle to make the large circle for the record, ran it through the CB Allegro folder and embossed with clear ep. I then used another circle punch on whisper white paper and used the CB small circle die cut for the center. I stamped random from Mini Mates "just a note" and the music note with black stazon. I cut a strip of black cs, put it on the bottom. I also had some pre-made rick rack strips, so I used 2 strips one in reverse to show the diamonds through the black cs. I also stamped the phrase with black stazon onto whisper white cs and layered with the black cs, it's raised with a 3D strip. The phrase is from Hannah Montana Disney Clear stamps from Target. (I knew I could find a reason to use this set) I scattered a different circle to make it look like a pattern. I took the inspiration to make this card from cakehouveau cakes website. It was perfect because my daughter's little friend Jasmine's 6th birthday party and she had a 50's sock hop party.

Congratulations to Karen B Barber for being featured stamper. I always admired her gallery as well as her comments. I took a few weeks off from stamping and finally decided to join in for the challenge. I've just been busy at work and people are starting to call me a workaholic even my own twin sister (okstamper) I was inspired by one of her quilt cards.
I started with purple bazzill cs as the base. I layered with light olive bazzill cs, ran it through the CB Houndstooth folder. I then used dp from the Dollar Tree, adhered it to the SU Top Note cutout and again ran it through the CB Houndstooth folder then cut around the die cut. I used the CB slider die cut on GP white cs. I also cut a small piece of the light olive bazzill cs, stamped the sentiment with black stazon and added 2 small peach button brads to each side. It's raised using 3D dots. I then tied a purple striped organdy ribbon and adhered it with a 3D square.

This is the 2nd purple/green tote bag I've made within the last week. I used the directions from Moda Bake Shop and it's called the Charming Handbag which you can find here I made the 1st one for a co-worker also a good friend as a gift for Christmas. Well she showed another co-worker her bag and that co-worker ordered one from me with the same colors. I changed it up a little too.
All fabrics are 100% cotton. I got the directions from Moda Bake Shop's website.Very easy. I've been making these like crazy. I have 3 more orders to get done.

My husband's grandpa asked me to make 10 thank you cards for his lady friend who'll be 80yrs old and she wanted some thank you cards. I told him I would make them for her. I made 5 of each set using 2 different color patterns.
I started with SU basic black as the base. I layered with GP white cs and ran it through the CB leaf branch folder. I then cut a strip of SU basic black cs, I also cut another strip of GP white cs, used the MS lace border punch. I then used a small piece of tacky tape for each side of ribbon and adhered it to the white strip. The strip is attached with 3D squares. I used the Sizzix frame scallop oval die with SU basic black and GP white cs. I stamped the butterfly with black stazon on the GP white cs as well as the sentiment. The frame is adhered with tiny 3D dots and the inside is adhered with medium 3D squares. I then added a small self adhesive pearl to the butterfly and added 2 mini gold self stick beads to each corner. I also added white dots around the frame with a white opaque pen. I made the exact same card using old olive ink & paper and added olive rhinestones.

After spending half the day making a quilted tote bag, I took a break and decided to make a card for the featured stamper, after all it's one of my favorite challenges. I also needed to make a masculine card for my BIL and this was perfect.
I used creamy caramel cs as the base. I layered with DCWV textured light teal cs. I used the CB swirls folder as the background. I then tied 3 strings of hemp around the background, then tied a knot. I layered the strips with creamy caramel cs and DCWV patterned dp. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon . I cut 2 squares of patterned spotted dp and layered underneath the image. I stamped the pelican with black stazon onto watercolor paper. I used primascolor pencils, blending stumps & mineral spirits to color the image. I sponged the sky with bliss blue ink. (I didn't have anything to make the clouds) I also stamped the sand with black stazon and blended the watercolor pencil. I decided the anchor needed sparkle so I used the 2 way glue and added dazzling diamonds.
