Golden Trees

 

Finally the weekend is here. I had a vision that I wanted to use my Christmas fabric and making a Christmas card with it. This fits perfect with the sketch challenge as well as Ways To Use It challenge using pearls.

I started with Burgundy Bazzill as the base. I ironed Fusible Web onto the fabric and then again onto white cs as the layer. I folded the ends of the fabric underneath. I used my SU mat stack to pierce holes in all 4 corners and attached mini gold brads. I cut 2 pieces of 2.5" x 2.5" squares on Glitter Self Adhesive dp. I stamped the image with Versa Mark onto GP white cs, used gold embossing powder and heat gun to set. I also added mini self stick pearls onto the tree. I sponged with Baroque Burgundy around the edges. I used the SU mat stack again on the corner, added 3 mini gold brads. I also layered with Burgundy Bazzill cs. I then tied 2 strings of gold ribbon across the bottom of the tree and tied a knot.

This is what I visioned all day at work and I'm happy with the results.

New addition to the family

 

This is Ellie. She's our new addition to the family. Ellie is 16 wks old. She's a hound/pointer mix. We got her at lifelinepuppy.org in Brighton, Co I haven't heard her bark yet, although she does moan and snores which is kind of cute. She loves her tennis ball. The kids sure love her.

Everything is the same for all 3 cards. The exceptions are the colors. I used a purple metal tag and stamped the sentiment with black stazon.

I started with DCWV pre-embossed card. I layered with black bazzill cs, only orange cs & Halloween gingham dp. I used the SU Matt stack to color in the holes with my white opaque pen onto the black cs. I stamped the flowers with black stazon on GP white cs, colored the flowers with the SU Marker (only orange) and added mini self adhesive silver beads to the centers of the flowers. I used the CB large circle and medium circle, stamped the sentiment with black stazon. The image is layered with the same cs, exception of the dp. The image is also raised with 3D strips. I then tied a $1 Michaels dotted ribbon and added 3 black self adhesive rhinestones.

I needed to make 3 similar cards as a set for an order. I'm hoping the person likes it.

I used the CB large circle & medium circle, stamped the sentiment with black stazon, I then sponged with torquoise. I added 3 pearl adhesive beads too.

LSC238 Spooky Quilt

 

For the limited challenge, we were to use Halloween colors. I just received my new quilt magazine, it had these great Halloween quilts and I took my inspiration from my magazine.

I started with pumpkin pie as the base. I layered with DCWV textured purple cs. I ran the CB Swiss Dot folder through caramel cs. I was given some top notes cut outs from one of pen pals here on SCS. I used a medium square punch on different Halloween dp's that I received from my twin sister (okstamper). I adhered all the squares onto the top and cut the access off. I then used a black sharpie and marked criss crosses on the seams. I also ran the CB Houndtooth folder after I adhered all the squares. I stamped the spider web on caramel cs with black stazon, cut out and attached a spider brad for the center of the web onto the orange square. I attached orange ribbon underneath the top note. I also stamped the skull with black stazon on caramel cs, cut out and added googlie eyes. It's attached with a 3D square as well as the top note. I also stamped the sentiment with black stazon onto caramel cs, layered with DCWV textured purple cs. I added an orange mini brad on the corner. It's also raised with a 3D square.

After I was done with this, I noticed I had 5 embellishments, however I think the googlie eyes would count as one. I hope it was ok.

Botanical Wishes

 

I started with black bazzill cs as the base. I stamped the large leaf from the botanical set with rose romance ink randomly on GP White cs. I then used the large nestie scallop rectangle through the CB with rose romance cs. I also stamped the leaves with rose romance onto the nestie cutout. I layered with black bazzill cs and GP white cs. I stamped the script with rose romance onto the GP white cs. I then stamped the image with versa mark onto the script, used black ep and heat gun to set. I then sponged over the image with rose romance ink lightly. I also stamped the butterflies with versa mark ink, used black ep and heat gun to set, then cut out the butterflies and popped them with 3D dots and again sponged them with rose romance ink. I then added mini self stick pearls to the butterflies. I stamped the phrase with black stazon. I enjoyed making this card.

Simple Sympathy

 

I started with GP white cs as the base. I used a second layer of GP white cs, used the CB swirl folder about 3/4" on the bottom. I tied a brown ribbon underneath the second layer. I stamped the flowers with SU Old Olive ink on GP white cs and layered with SU Old Olive cs. I added 2 gold dragonfly brads. The sentiment is a Studio G $1 clear stamp. The image is raised with 3D squares.

Unfortunately I lost my best friend this past week and I thought I would make this card and send it to her mother.

Haunted House

 

I started with SU crushed curry cs as the base. I layered with SU basic black cs, ran it through the CB swiss dot folder. The bottom dp is from Debbie Mumm holiday glitter pack. I used a corner punch on crushed curry cs and added black self stick rhinestones. I used the MS goo punch on the orange and curry cs for the seam between the dp. I then tied a black ribbon. I stamped the scene with black stazon on GP white cs, colored with SU markers and used the SU matt stack on the corner. The image is raised with 3D squares. I thought the house needed something else, so I stamped a $1 clear stamp bird on top. I should of sponged the background, but oh well there's next time.

I started with SU basic black cs as the base. I ran it through the CB Swiss dot folder. I added 3 orange rhinestones to the top. I layered with Debbie Mumm glitter dp and orange dp from The Paper Company. I stamped the image with black stazon on GP white cs, colored with a SU orange marker and added the sentiment from $1 Studio G clear stamps. I also layered with the same cs and added SU crushed curry. The image is raised with 3D squares. I used the MS spider web punch, added those to the corners with self stick mini gold beads and tied a black ribbon.

Spooooky Night

 

I started with SU basic black cs. I split the card using GP white cs for the top. I stamped the scene with black stazon. I then used SU old olive for the bottom for the grass. I ran it through the CB swirl folder. I then used the MS fence punch and glue parcially underneath the green cs. I stamped the cat with black stazon and sponged the background with really rust and more mustard ink. I also stamped the moon with really rust too. I used an oblong punch and stamped the sentiment with black stazon, added 2 gold mini brads to each side and it's raised with a 3D strip.

EeeeeeeK Spider!

 

I started with SU basic black as the base. I used the CB circle folder on the Paper Co. orange dp, layered the pieces with Debbie Mumm glittery holiday dp and old olive cs. I stamped the web with black stazon onto GP white cs and added a spider brad to the center. I used a medium circle punch on the white cs, large circle punch on the SU crushed curry cs and then used a large scallop circle punch on black cs. I went around the curves with a white opague gel pen. It's raised using a 3D square. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon and used a small oval scallop punch on black and white cs.

Halloween goodie bags

 

I made these Halloween treat bags for the receivers at work. Some people say I spoil them, what can I say. I just love making things like this for them, they are always so good to me.
I bought small white lunch bags, trimmed the top on some of them. I randomly stamped images from Studio G wooden stamps with really rust ink and black stazon. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon. I used the MS Goo punch on basic black cs and only orange cs as the topper. I then stamped the tag using a Studio G $1 clear stamp with black stazon on GP white cs, cut out and poked a hole through the tag and topper, then added an orange mini brad.
The sentiment says "All You Need In Life Is A Friend Who Has Chocolate"
I filled the bags with Hershey's kisses and Peanut Butter Cups. The biggest bag is for my favorite receiver without Peanut Butter Cups because he doesn't like peanut butter.

SC251 Embossed Pumpkins

 
I finally got around to making this card sketch. I needed to make 30 Thanksgiving cards so I made it using this sketch. I felt like it took me forever...but in the end I think it came out ok.
I started with GP white cs as the base. I layered with The Paper Studio dp. I layered with really rust, GP white cs and orange textured dp (The Paper Company). I added 2 mini gold brads to the orange piece in each corner. I ran the CB floral folder through both colored pieces. I stamped the image with a versa mark ink pad, used gold embossing powder and heat gun to set. I then used a SU marker to color in the oranges. The main image is raised using 3D strips. I lightly sponged on the white cs with close to cocoa.
Next time I make a large quality, I'm not going to color. I had to color 96 pumpkins, my hand started to hurt.

WT241 Halloween Patchwork

 
I decided to play around with Ways To Use It Challenge, I used the Debbie Mumm's pre-printed glittery dp. The base of the card is SU basic black. I cut them all out, randomly put them all around the edges on GP white cs. I added tiny black dots, then drew lines with a black sharpie pen around the edges and squares. I stamped the images with black stazon, colored with SU markers. After I stamped the birds, I dropped the stamp, that's why I stamped the sentiment and layered with SU basic black cs.

CAS38 FS142 Coaster Cards

 

I bought these felt coasters too at Michaels $1 section, just didn't know what to do with them...I used GP white cs as the base to make a 4X4 card. I added mini flower brads to all the centers of the fellows, then added self stick mini pearls to the centers of the brads. I then used the sewing machine and stitched the square onto SU basic black cs. I then tied a white ribbon.
I liked this so much I made two of them. The lighting isn't to great, but one is purple and the other is pink.

SC250 Ladybugs

 

I'm finally getting around to making a few cards. I've just been fighting a nasty cold these days.
I started with GP white cs as the base. I layered with SU basic black, ran it through the CB Swiss dot folder. I also layered with SU real red cs and SU old olive cs. I also ran the olive cs through the CB Swiss dot folder. I used a scallop border punch on the bottom of the real red cs. I stamped the ladybugs with black stazon on GP white cs, used a medium square punch. I had these pre-cut black designer edged squares, flipped them over so I could use the solid black against the white. I then stamped the sentiment with black stazon on the center ladybug square. All three ladybugs are raised with 3D squares. I colored the ladybugs with a BIC It red marker. I used a bow punch on GP white cs and added an olive self stick rhinestone for the center of each bow. I was only going to use one bow, but my daughter wanted all three bows. I think these came out ok. I made 7 of these and boy coloring 21 ladybugs hurts my hand.
I wish I knew how to put my watermark back on.
