WT203, SC213 Polished Stone Lighthouse

 
I combined 2 challenges with this card. The card sketch is one and the other was to use any type
of alcohol based products. I was determined to get this card done tonight even though I have to get up at 4:30 to get ready for work. I wanted to try the polish stone technique. I used glossy white cs for the image, used re-inkers, rubbed with cotton balls and alcohol, let dry then sealed it with acrylic sealer. I didn't get the right look to stamp the image directly on the paper after I did everything so I decided to stamp the image with black stazon onto transparent paper. It still gives it the glossy look to it. I used olive-lime bazzill cs as the base. I layered with GP white cs and ran it through the CB Mesh folder. I also ran the CB Distressed folder through the striped dp and again with the CB Mesh folder onto the lime strip. I layered with Night Quite Navy cs. The main image is raised using 3D squares. I then added a chipboard oval, added 2 white brads and the sentiment says "wish" for the hardware.

IC163 In My Bedroom

I couldn't wait for the weekend to get here so I could make a few challenge cards. Since I am an avid quilter, I seen the perfect bedroom scene with the pretty quilt and the dog. I started with whisper white cs and made a square card. I punched 8 different 1" squares using my punch onto colored adhesive cs using similar colors as the quilt. I ran all the punched squares through the cuttlebug traffic jam folder. I then used my Nesties scallop rectangle square onto light olive cs. I had drawn the black lines for the stems of the flowers. I used the cuttlebug circle die cuts for the dots to make the flowers and ran all the dots through the cuttlebug swiss dot folder, they are also adhesive cs. I made swirly lines on the circles with a black sharpie pen as well as between all the squares. I also added black dots on the bumps on the nesties edges with a black sharpie pen. The image is raised using dimensionals. I stamped the dog with basic black ink, colored with a tan BIC It marker, cut out. I did it the 2nd time, cut it out and put a tiny 3D dot so the dog looks raised. I then added a black stitched ribbon. I enjoyed making this card. Thanks for the challenge.

LSC202, SC211 Love Birds

 

I'm trying to catch up on challenges over at Splitcoaststampers, I thought I'd combine the two. One of the challenges involved hearts, anything you put on your card had to have hearts, whether it is embellishments, paper etc. I started with red Paper Co. cs as the base, layered with lime DCWV dp and pretty in pink cs. I ran the CB Hearts folder through the pretty in pink cs. I cut 2 strips of the red cs and layered with Cloud9Design dp. I stamped the image with basic black ink onto whisper white cs and colored with BIC It Markers. I also added a red heart rhinestone over the image of a heart moon was. I used the Cuttlebug heart die cuts on the same cs. I seen my daughter's self stick foam hearts just sitting there, so I thought I would use them with my heart layers. I added pearls to the top and the bottom. The hearts are raised using 3D squares.

I was so inspired this is what I did.
I used a piece of 12X12 Paper Studio dp, cut it to 11X11 as the instructions says. I stamped the image with basic black ink on whisper white cs and colored with my BIC Mark It markers and layered with DCWV pink textured cs for the flap.

SC209, WT199 Elephant Baby Card

I combined 2 challenges for this card. I needed a baby card for a vendor of mine in Hawaii, the same person who I made the angel quilt for. I used Perfect Plum as the base. I layered with a piece of Paper Studio dp, ran it through the CB Swiss Dots folder. All the background layers are Perfect Plum. I used DCWV green checked dp also ran it through the CB Swiss Dot folder. I then used a piece of DCWV baby dp with the words on the paper. I tied a piece of lime green ribbon and tied a bow. I stamped the image using basic black ink onto whisper white cs, colored with SU markers. I stamped another ear, cut out and made it look like a 3D ear, attached it the stamped image. I cut the things of the silver heart brad and put a 3D dot inside the heart and put it on the trunk. I also used an image that says Congratulations from Riveted (pen pal) sent me some assorted images. I then used a flower punch around the circled image and I also used a 3D square underneath. All the layers also is attached with 3D squares.
