Butterflies In Flight

I used real red cs as the base. I stamped the butterflies with black stazon onto GP white cs. I added 2 mini red brads to the top corners. I didn't have any plain red ribbon so I turned the decorative ribbon over and poof there's the red ribbon I wanted. I cut out a felt red flower that comes on a roll, then put a medium pearl brad for the center and it's attached with a 3D circle. I added assorted mini self stick pearls to the butterflies and stamped the sentiment with black stazon and another little butterfly.
Congrats again to Stef, just adore her gallery. I made this for a co-worker who's mother's birthday is on New Year's Eve who loves red.

Goodie Bags Xmas 09

I made these goodie bags for the receivers at work. They're always good to me so I make them goodie bags for almost every occasion.
Inside is bag of popcorn, bag of hershey's kisses, mints, candy cane, hot cocoa and misc chocolate.
I made a 2X2 card as the base with real red cs, I stamped the sentiment with black stazon on GP white cs and colored with SU Markers. I used a small hole punch and tied a red ribbon to close the bag. The biggest bag in the back goes to my favorite receiver.

Glass Ornaments with pictures

I wanted to make the kids glass ornaments with their school pictures inside. Printed out photo and adhered to accetate paper. Punched a small hole, strung ribbon through the top, added some snow. I tied a wired holiday ribbon.
On the back of the photo, I adhered red cs and wrote their names and the year on them.

Doggie Treat Bag

My husband made some homemade doggie biscuits and I thought we could give a few to one of the teacher's aides that comes in my daughter's kindergarten class. The lady is handicapped and has a dog that's always by her side.

My husband typed the recipe and I enclosed it inside the bag. I stamped the tag from MS Christmas Clear stamp with black stazon onto white cs. I also stamped the paw with black stazon from Inkadinkado clear stamp. The background is real red cs and I stapled on each side.

I know my puppy loves these homemade treats, so I'm hoping her dog will too.

Here's the recipe:
1 Cup unbleached organic whole wheat flour
1 Cup organic oat flour
1 Cup yellow corn meal
2 tsp chopped parsley (fresh breath)
¾ Cups low sodium chicken broth
3 TBS vegetable oil
I also added a couple of teaspoons of bacon grease (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Mix the flours and corn meal in one bowl
In a separate bowl, whip the egg, broth and oil. Add flour mixture and mix until completely mixed. You may add a teaspoon of water at this time if the dough is too firm or dry.
Knead the dough and roll out to desired thickness (I like 1/4” to 3/8”). Use fun shaped cookie cutters,
bake for 35 minutes or until deep brown, time will vary depending on the thickness

Lollipop Candles

I wanted to make a few quick gifts for co-workers. I got the idea from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts which she has a video on the tutorial. I liked making these so much, I made 4 of each color.
I used PartyLite Tealight Candles using 3 different colors. It so happens that I had the same cs as the colors of the candles. I bought lollipop sticks w/clear wrappers at Michaels in the baking section. ($2.00 for 20)
To make the tags, I stamped with Rose Romance, Blush Blossom & Mauve Mist ink onto GP White cs, then used a large scallop punch. I used a small circle punch on the tag, tied ribbon around the stick, through the hole and made a bow.
I enjoyed making these, I really only needed to make 6 but ended up making 12---I may do the same for Valentines too.
Thanks Dawn for the inspiration.

Reindeer Card

I used blue bazzill cs as the base. I used MM corner rounder on all four corners. I used the CB Die Cut Flower onto tan cs for the face. I also used the CB Die Cut oval frame for the body onto tan cs. I had the some dark brown leaves that were already made so I decided to use those as the antlers as well as a tiny piece for the tail. I drew with a black sharpie the neck and used the black fine uniball pen for the legs. I used a small circle punch on GP white cs and made a small black dot using a black sharpie pen. I used a black fine uniball pen to trace around the white cs on the eye. I then used a medium circle punch on real red cs and stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink. After looking for something to do the white dots, I finally made them by using liquid applique.

Fabric Angel

started with DCWV pre-embossed square card. I used Paper Pizazz dp for the background. I added 2 rustic heart strands from Make It Christmas decorations at HL. I had this cute country Christmas fabric so I fused the angel with the iron, cut the angel out then ironed onto GP white cs. I layered with tan cs and it's raised with 3D squares. I then used a felt flower, used the MS button hole punch for the center and used white DMC floss and tied a bow.

I started with real red cs as the base. I layered with GP white cs and misc glittery holiday dp. I added 2 mini gold brads to each corner of the dp. I layered the smaller strips with old olive and real red cs. I used the SU matt stack with my piercing tool for the holes on top of the red cs. I tied an olive/white ribbon and then tied a piece of red ribbon. I stamped the presents with black stazon onto GP white cs, sponged with more mustard ink and black ink. I layered with the new in color yellow cs. I also colored the presents with the SU markers, stamped the presents again then cut out 2 presents and adhered them with 3D dots. The main image is raised with a 3D square.

Old Bird Birthday

I wanted to take a break from making Christmas cards and make a card using my 6yr daughter's drawing of her owl. Kaitlyn drew this owl with a pencil on white cs, I took it to work today and shrunk it down to 30% onto GP white cs. I told her I would make several images so she could have some and make some cards too.
I started with the new in color yellow as the base. I layered with chocolate chip cs. The 2 panels with dp is from The Paper Company and layered again with the in color yellow. I then used the CB distressed stripes folder on chocolate chip cs as the strip, then tied hemp around the strip. The image is adhered onto the in color yellow and is raised with 3D squares. I stamped the sentiment with timber brown stazon onto GP white cs. I colored the owl with SU markers and glued 2 googlie eyes. I then decided the owl needed to be on a branch, so I stamped the branch using a clear stamp from Inkadinkado.
I couldn't wait until Kaitlyn seen what I've done with her owl. This is a keeper. I think I got an artist on my hands, what do you think?

Pink Lace

I was hoarding my lace paper doilies just like Pam124 did. This was the perfect opportunity to use one.
I used GP white cs as the base, made 5X5 card. I used The Paper Company pink dp, used the scallop border punch for the top. I then used rose romance for the bottom half and used the MS Lace Heart border punch. I then used a piece of tacky tape on back on the pink heart ribbon and put it between the dp and the colored cs. I stamped the image with black stazon directly onto the paper lace doilie. I colored with SU markers. I added tiny pearl beads for the light pink flowers. I used a hand held butterfly punch that punches tiny butterflies and added tiny pearl beads to each butterfly. I also stamped the sentiment with black stazon using a Studio G $1 clear stamp. I added hot pink self adhesive small rhinestones around on the big points of the doilie. I also added 2 small rows of mini pearl beads to the top right corner. I used the SU mat stack to pierce holes all around the GP white cs. I used a knitted white flower that my pen pal made for me, used a large pink pearl brad for the center. I cut 2 small pieces of organdy white ribbon, then the pearl stick underneath. The flower is attached with a 3D square.
I really enjoyed making this card. Thanks for the great inspiration Pam.

Twas The Night

I was determined to get this HM card done, after I stamped and colored the image, I realized my image was quite larger than the original, but I didn't want to start over so I made it work. I bought this HM at a thrift store for $.50, never used it so I figured this was the perfect time.
I started with the new In Color (looks like taken with teal) as the base. I layered with coredinations burgundy dp. I also layered it again using the same colors plus basic black. I stamped the image with black stazon onto watercolor paper. I colored with primascolor pencils, mineral spirits and blending stumps. I then cut out the image and adhered towards the bottom of the second layer. I used the 2way glue on the candle and added dazzling diamonds. I used the MS branch punch with the same teal cs, started from the top left corner. I tied a organdy white ribbon, used the hot glue gun, then used the MS snowflake punch with the burgundy dp and added a self stick pearl for the center of the bow. I also added 3 smaller self stick pearls to the bottom.

Trucking Birthday Cards

I wanted to make a similar birthday card for my FIL. He drives a US Postal truck, this is the closet I have to a truck. I started with GP white cs as the base of the card. I traced the pattern of the curve onto basic black cs, cut out and added white lines for the road with a white gel pen. I sponged the sky with bordering blue ink, stamped the sun with more mustard for the circle using Little Shapes. I masked the trees with black stazon. I then stamped the grass with black stazon, sponged with old olive ink then went over the weeds with an old olive marker. I stamped the truck with black stazon, colored with SU markers, cut out and added mini gray brads for the wheels. I stamped the presents with black stazon, colored & cut out. My husband's idea to stamp the presents again, cut them and have them falling out of the truck....luckily I had tiny 3D dots. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon & used the medium circle punch. The top card is for my FIL and the bottom card is for my nephew. He just moved so I thought it was perfect with the furniture in the back of the truck.

Embossed Holly Christmas card

I used GP white cs as the base. I used the Scor-Pal to make 2 lines on top and bottom. I tied a thin gold ribbon between the lines on top. I stamped the image with versa mark ink onto GP white cs, used gold embossing powder and heat gun to set. I colored in the leaves with SU Garden Green marker and the berries with SU Ruby Red marker. I layered with SU real red cs. I also stamped the sentiment with the versa mark ink pad and gold embossing powder plus heat gun.
I decided to make 50 of these as my Christmas cards this year. I didn't realize after coloring the leaves, I was actually coloring 50 times 10 leaves on a card...took awhile but managed to get them all done.

I stamped the flowers again, cut out and layered the flowers with 3D dots, added mini pearls for the centers. I cut a strip of Bloom & Glow dp, layered with only orange cs. I used my SU matt stack to pierce the holes and added medium gold brads to each side. I also used a large scallop punch onto the bazzill cream cs, used a medium circle punch on only orange cs, then used a smaller circle onto GP white cs. I stamped the sentiment with black stazon. I also decided to use the MS triple butterfly punch with the same only orange and bazzill cream cs and added 2 mini gold beads. The strip and scallop circle is raised with 3D squares. Masculine Birthday

I started with cream textured cs as the base. I layered with DCWV tan dp, used the distressing tool around all edges then brushed with timber brown stazon. I then layered a strip chocolate chip underneath the striped dp. The 2 layers of strips are layered with cream textured cs, chocolate chip cs and DCWV dp. I used my MM eyelet setter with mini brown eyelets and added hemp through the holes. I also added 3 mini brown eyelets on the cream textured cs strip at the top. I stamped the image with timber brown stazon onto creamy caramel cs, sponged with brocade blue ink, chocolate chip & creamy caramel ink. I then stamped the boat again on the printer dp, cut the sails and added to the image. I also layered with the same dp & chocolate chip. The image is raised with a 3D square. I then used the SU chocolate chip marker to make notches around the edges. I used the distressing tool around all the edges of every layer.
I made this for the buyer at work who always enjoys my homemade cards & quilts.

Changito Driver Birthday

I needed to make a quick birthday card for a co-worker...as always I wait for the last minute. I bought this new cling changito stamp from Archivers, I'd figured I could use it here.
I used old olive as the base. I used a second layer of old olive, ran it through the CB swiss dot folder. I layered with Debbie Mumm dp and basic black cs on all the panels. I stamped the image with black stazon onto GP white cs, colored with SU markers. I used a black sharpie to write his name on the license plate. I also stamped the sentiment with black stazon directly on the Debbie Mumm dp.
Hope he liked it, although he's an avid bicyclist I don't really have any bike stamps. I thought this was pretty cute anyways.

Tote Bags

I decided I wanted to make me a tote bag using reds, blacks & whites. I loved how it came out so I made a purple & green one for my girlfriend. She just loved it. All fabrics are 100% cotton, I didn't have to buy any fabrics for these as I have tons of it in my fabric collections.
The size is approximately 16X16 and the smaller totes I made my girls are 14X14 which is perfect for kids. I got the directions from Moda Bake Shop which the bag is called the Charming Handbag you'll find here

Kaitlyn & Erin's scrap totes

Since I've been making these cute tote bags, I told my girls Kaitlyn & Erin that I would make them each one. I already had these pre-cut 4" scrap blocks from Keepsake Quilting, not one is the same, they picked out 32 blocks. Each tote bag requires 32 blocks, 16 on each side. They enjoyed picking out their own blocks as well as their own lining on the inside of the bag. I made 2 of these within 4hrs. Once I finished one, I had to finish the 2nd one especially them being sisters.
