I've been married for 16yrs now on June 14th (Flag Day). I have 2 wonderful daughters ages 10 and 12. I'm originally from San Diego, I've been in Colorado for 12 yrs now. Love it, just miss the beach. I have a twin sister who's also into stamping and quilting. I've been stamping for over 14 years now. I'm also an avid quilter for 25yrs. My mom took my twin sister and I to our first quilting/sewing class when we were 18yrs old and I've been making quilts ever since. My other hobby besides crafting is being on our Harley with my husband.
As soon as I saw the challenge, I had to get on it after the kids got to bed. The challenge was to use fabric on your card. I figure it's up my alley, since I am a quilter. I started out by cutting 2.5 squares of scrap fabric, iron on fusible web to the wrong side of the fabric then peeled the paper, turned the fabric over and ironed again random all over the tan cs. I then used the sewing machine and did zig zag stitches between the lines and used a straight stitch for the edges with cream thread. I added 4 mini self adhesive pearls to the corners and tied a ribbon underneath the quilt piece and attached it onto cream bazzill cs. I'm not sure why the ribbon is showing up more red, but it's the same color as the reds in the fabric. Thanks for a great challenge.
I made these Valentine treat bags for the receivers at work. Some people say I spoil them, what can I say. I just love making things like this for them. I just used heart treat bags, filled with different chocolates. I also made the tag. I stamped the tag with black stazon on GP white cs and attached a piece of red bazzill cs and cut around it. I then used a twist tie after I punched a small hole through the tag.

This is the top for the Pringles Valentine container. I cut 1/4" of black bazzill cs, wrapped it around the lid along with tacky tape. I used my Coluzzle on red bazzill cs for the circle. I stamped the heart with black stazon on GP white cs and cut the heart out. I added a self stick silver brad on top of the heart.

I wanted to make something out of a recycled Pringles can. I cut to size black/white dp from Paper Studio. I cut a strip of red bazzill cs and black bazzill cs, ran it through the crimper. I had the cat image was sent to me by my pen pal (kittykat), I glued that onto the red and black bazzill cs and cut around it since I didn't have the right circle punches. I attached it to the center of the can. I then stamped the tag with black stazon on GP white cs and cut around the red cs, added a heart brad and it's attached with a 3D square to the bottom of the can. (I didn't know where to put the tag) For the top of the lid, you'll have to see the next picture. This is for one of the guys in receiving who helps me whenever I ask him to do something. I filled the container with different chocolates. Paper:Paper Studio dp, GP White cs, red bazzill cs, black bazzill cs Accessories:Crimper, scissors, tacky tape, heart brad, pringles container, chocolates, 3D square Ink:Black stazon Stamps:Unknown Harley Cat, Happy Heart Day
Gosh, Valentine's Day came so quickly. I needed to make 50 lollipop holders for my two daughter's. One is in kindergarten and the other is in Pre-K. I started with red bazzill cs, cut them into 2.5 x 5.5, scored at 2 and 3 inches. I then cut 2.25 squares with black bazzill cs. I used a medium scallop circle punch on basic white cs (Big Lots). I stamped with red stazon the phrase from $1 Joanns Valentine stamp onto the scallop circle, I then glued the circle onto the black cs. I also used a large scallop square on basic white cs (Big Lots). I stamped with basic black ink with a Studio G $1 wood Valentine stamp onto the scallop square. I also stamped the tiny ladybug from the SU Because of You set. I then used double sided tape on the inside so that the sucker could stick to both sides of the red cs. I enjoyed making these for my daughter's. I finished one only to show what it will look like. I'm had my daughter's write their names on the lines before I attached the suckers. (easier to write without the bumps)
