SC173 Spring Butterfly

I wanted to try another challenge card so I chose this one. I used old olive cs as the base of the card. I stamped with old olive ink on to white cs using the square of the little shapes SU set. I then inked the butterflies using baroque burgundy and stamped random on the squares. I ran the strip of baroque burgundy cs through the CB dots folder. I stamped the image using old olive and baroque burgundy ink. I then stamped the phrase with the same bb ink on a tag and used itty bitty backgrounds and used a 3D dot. I also added a ribbon. The main image is also raised using 3D dots and I scraped the edges with my scissors.

Four Ballerinas

I made this ballerina card for a little girl who was turning 4yrs old. My girls and her love to dance around like they are ballerina's, so this card was perfect. I used pretty in pink cs as the base, ran it through the CB circles folder. I layered with DCWV dp and green textured cs. I stamped the image with black stazon on white cs and colored with SU markers. I then used the ticket corner punch and tied a ribbon around the top. The image is raised using 3D squares.

Baby At Home Quilt

I made this for my mom, she bought the fabric for me. She's giving it to her friend as a gift for their 1st grand daughter. This is called "Baby At Home" using honeysuckle fabrics. I added a white appliqué heart to one of the borders. I'm going to write in "Love Bug" because that's what the little baby's nickname is. This came out pretty I think. This only took about 5hrs between 2 weekends.

Cuttlebug Mickey & Minnie

I used black brazil paper as the base. I layered with white cs and used the SU matt stack to pierce the holes around the edges and used a black sharpie for the lines. I ran the CB Circle folder through red brazil cs. I also ran the CB Circle folder through white cs and punched different size circles and random put them on the red cs with 3D dots. I didn't have any white on black ribbon so I used the same black cs and used a white galaxy marker for the dots. I then stamped Mickey and Minnie Mouse on white cs with black stazon ink and used copic markers for the face.

SC148 Mushroom Masking

This is my 1st time making a card using the basic masking technique. I just love the way this card came out. I used lavender lace for the base along with flower dp. I layered the card with olive green textured cs, bliss blue and whisper white cs. I stamped the the image with black stazon and used my primascolor pencils with baby oil. I also stamped the snail, colored him and cut him out and he's raised using a 3D dot. I then added a purple ribbon. The whole image is raised using the 3D squares.
Loved making this card, I'm going to have to do more of these.

SC126 Beach

I made this card for my nephew who will be 25yrs and just loves to surf, but didn't want to do another surf card so I settled for a beach card. I'm loving these challenge cards because it makes it easier to think of ideas for a layout. The hardware says "Happy Birthday" which you can't see.

Log Cabin Star Quilt

I made this Log Cabin quilt for my DH's Aunt. It was a surprise from her husband for a Christmas present. All the blocks are the same, just turned around in different directions and that's what the star is. The colors are burgundy, hunter green and cream.

Delightful

Where to begin....this is BIG card for a co-worker that left the co. I used the cb flower folder on brown textured cs. I also used pumpkin pie, tempting turquoise and white cs. I brushed the edges of the white cs with tempting turquoise & pumpkin pie ink. I then cut out the flowers using the same cs, then used prima flowers and mini brads for the center of the flowers & used a white gel pen for outline. I used the cb slider die cut on pumpkin pie cs, punched a circle on white cs and punch a small circle of tempting turquoise, used a small flower punch & mini brad on the circle, used brown & white ribbon to go through it. The flowers are on with 3D mini squares and all the layers are on there with tacky tape.

Lonely Elk

I had to make a get well card for my FIL who just had a small stroke. I thought this would be perfect since he does live up in the mountains in WY.
Anyways, I used teal brazil cs as base, ran the CB Paisley folder through it, ran the CB Swiss Dot folder on close to cocoa cs and used matching paisley dp for the layout. I stamped the image with black stazon and used watercolor pencils and layered with matching cs and added a solid light torquoise cs. I also used the matt stack piercing tool for the holes in the corners. I used the CB tag punch on close to cocoa cs and added a silver brad. I then used hemp to tie with. The image is raised with 3D squares. I also used scissors on all the edges giving it a rugged look.
