Delectable Mountains

This quilt took me about 4 months to finish even with my DH's help. It's a lot of cutting, stripping and more cutting. We made this using scraps from other quilts I've made in the past.

Courthouse Steps

I made this quilt for a girlfriend of mine in Phoenix. It's called the Courthouse Steps. It's made using the strip technique and again my DH helped me cut and press each strip as I was sewing. He's great at that.

Bears In The Woods Quilt

I made this quilt because I liked the fact that the trees are surrounded by the star. This is one of the quilts that I keep on my bed. My Dh helped me with cutting all the strips as well as pressing.

I'm getting to love making the challenge cards. This will be my 3rd card that involves a card challenge which is SC154. I wanted to use my new SU Merci set. I used barely banana cs as the base, then ran the CB Swiss Dot Folder. I also layered with My Mind's Eye DP and stamped the image with black stazon and colored with SU markers. I added a teal bling brad for the center of the flower. I thought it needed something else, so I attached a flower with brad (Heidi Grace Designs) onto the card.

Calendar Chicky Card

Well, I decided to make my 2nd challenge card. This is called SC91 Calendar Chick Card. I received a RAK of Calendar Chick images and I thought I would make a card with one. I enjoyed making this as a birthday card for my older sister and my MIL. I used the CB Swiss Dot folder on eggplant ivy cs and gable green cs. I layered with black brazil paper and My Mind's Eye dp. I also colored the image using my SU markers and used the SU Matt Pack piercing kit. I thought it needed something else, so I added 3 mini purple brads. I also used the CB Paisley folder on the gable green cs.
Thanks for looking.

Fire Brigade

I made this card for a special friend of mine who's a Lt. in the fire department in Boston, who I never met except on the phone. I thought this would be perfect for him, he loved it because it was homemade especially for him. I used the red brazil cardstock, ran the CB Swiss Dot folder through it as well the yellow cs. The image was sent to me by a fellow SCS lady and I colored him using my primascolor watercolor pencils. I stamped the phrase with black stazon ink and used 2 different circle punches. The image is raised using 3D squares.
