SC208 Eating Strawberries

Better late than never to do this challenge. I used SU whisper white as the base. The strawberry dp is from DCWV. I layered with glittery redish dp and glittery greenish dp. I stamped the image with black stazon on 140# watercolor paper. I used my primascolor pencils with blending stumps and mineral spirits. I added a polka dot flower brad and a red rhinestone brad for the center. I added a ribbon slider through the flower ribbon and stuck a happy birthday hardware onto the slider. The image is raised using 3D squares. On the inside of the card, it says "Have A Mice Day". This was for a guy at work that needed a happy birthday card for his mother.

Angel Baby Quilt

I have a vendor who I deal with in Hawaii, she had a baby girl. It's so hard to find Hawaiian fabrics in the states so I found this cute crayon angel fabric. I added 2 different colors of pinks and purples. I also cut out 6 angels and each block is a 6X6 block. All fabrics are 100% cotton. I hope she'll like this.

Hugs & Kisses Treat Bags

I wanted to make the guys in receiving some treat bags. I cut a 5 x 3 of GP white cs. I scored at 2 1/2 and stamped random snowflakes using red stazon and forest green stazon. I stamped the phrase with red stazon and layered with DCVW green textured cs. On the back I stamped the words "To From". I then stapled the topper to the bag. I bought the bags at Dollar Tree. Inside the bag is hot cocoa, popcorn (wrapped with MME dp) and bunch of Hersey's Hugs & Kisses and other chocolates & mints, plus a candy cane. I hope they enjoy these. I only ended up eating 2 pieces too.

SC64 Gingerbread House

When I made this card and put it together, I found the sketch that came close to this. I used red bazzill cs as the base. I used the CB Swiss Dot folder on GP white cs and use the Scor-Pal, made 2 lines towards the bottom. I tied a ribbon between the 2 lines. I stamped the gingerbread house with black stazon and colored with SU markers and BIC Mark It markers. I then glued it underneath the polka dot chipboard scallop frame. I also stamped a piece of candy, colored with the markers and cut it out, it's raised using a 3D dot. I stamped the phrase with black stazon. The main image is raised using 3D squares. I wish I had liquid appliqué to add for the frosting. This is for my daughter's kindergarten teacher.

White & Gold Ornament Card

I had an extra piece of this snowflake dp and a smaller ornament chipboard so I decided to make a similar card to the one I made previous. I used DCWV textured olive cs and Greetings of the Season dp and ran it through the CB Snowflake folder. I used the ticket corner punch and added mini gold beads to the corners. I cut a strip of the olive cs and added a bigger strip of a gold chipboard and ran it through the CB Snowflake folder too. I used a versa mark pad on the Basic Grey Holiday ornament and used white embossing powder around the ornament. I used my versa mark pen for the star and used gold embossing powder and used the heat gun to set. I added a white pearl bead to the center of the star. I also added a small piece of white glitter dp for the background of the ornament. I then tied gold cording and clipped to make a string bow on top. The ornament is popped up using 3D squares. I also added a medium gold bead to the main snowflake dp. I then added the same gold ribbon I got from a chocolate box of candy, then added one more white pearl bead to the gold chipboard.

FS97 Delight

Today's challenge was to case a card from Cards_by-America, this is her card Blooms Of Congratulations CLICK HERE
I changed the flowers, embossing powder, pearls, rhinestones and the frame for the phrase and the color.
I used red bazzill cs as the base. I used the CB Swirl folder on GP White cs. I stamped the flowers with versa mark and embossed with red embossing powder and used the heat gun. I then cut all the flowers. I again stamped the center flower with versa mark and used a versa mark pen to fill in the flower and again embossed with red embossing powder and used the heat gun. I added pearl brads for the centers. I also ran a red organdy ribbon underneath the flowers and they are raised using 3D squares. I stamped the phrase the same with as the flowers. I used a sizzix frame and cut the ends off where the holes would go. I also added 3 red mini rhinestones to each side. Thanks for the challenge. I figured I would try this challenge since I've been making Christmas cards all night, it's 3:30am

Gold Ornament Card

Do you ever have a vision and the next day you try and get your vision the way you wanted? This was my vision. I just realized I didn't do any stamping on the front of the card. I started out using DCWV textured olive cs as the square base of the card. I used the CB Snowflake folder on Greetings of the Season dp that had gold and white snowflakes on it. I used the ticket corner punch for the corners and added mini gold beads. I used a Basic Grey Holiday Self Stick Chipboard ornament, rubbed the outside with my versa mark pad and then embossed with gold ep and set with the heat gun. I also used my versa mark pen on the inside of the ornament for the star and used white embossing powder and again set it with the heat gun. I added a small gold bead to the center. I decided it needed a piece of white glittery paper for the background. I added a gold cord for the loop on the ornament. The ornament is raised using 3D squares. I layered with a piece of gold chipboard and ran it through the CB Snowflake folder. I tied a gold ribbon I got off a chocolate candy box and added a white pearl on the snowflake. I random put mini gold beards on the main snowflake dp. The gold strip is also raised using 3D squares. I enjoyed making this card. I tried to see if there was a challenge card for this, but didn't see any. If someone knows, please let me know.

Shining Star

I wanted to make the quickest Christmas card because I'm running out of time. I started out with Not Quite Navy cs as the base. I stamped 2 trees away from each other with the versa mark ink pad, used clear embossing powder and the heat gun to set. (I wanted the trees to appear blue). I then stamped the 3rd tree with the versa mark ink pad and used silver embossing powder and the heat gun to set so it would stand out. I then added the star brad which was originally silver, embossed with gold ep and clipped the back off and stuck a 3D dot on the back. I also added mini gold beads to the silver tree. I also stamped in versa mark the greeting and used silver ep. I told my DH that I think I found a fast Christmas card. Not sure if this needs anything else.

CC196 Joy To The World

I took the day off from work today so I could catch up on some cards. I took the time to do a challenge too. :)
I used real red cs as the base, layered with TWT and whisper white. I ran the CB Snowflake folder through the TWT cs and brushed with white pigment ink on top. I stamped the image using a versa mark pad and used black embossing powder, used heat gun to set. I colored with the SU Markers and stamped the phrase with a versa mark pad and used red embossing powder, heat gun to set. I random stamped with TWT ink the snowflakes from Mini Mates. I used the ticket corner punch on all 3 layers and added mini clear rhinestones to 3 corners. I tied a ribbon using the technique from Kittie Caracciolo blog.
I added a holiday poinsettia, silver prima flower, sage shadow prima flower and a fabric red brad for the center. I also added a strip of real red cs underneath and added a white brad. The main image and the flower is raised using 3D Dots. Thanks for challenge!

IC157 Country Snowman

I wanted to try today's challenge Images Under Glass so I picked the country looking snowman on the pendant.
I started with the DCWV Pre-embossed Striped card. The card is 5.5 X 5.5 square. I made the red background square with red bazill cs and stamped stars with red stazon. I then cut 2 strips of Night Quite Navy cs and use the CB Tiny Bubbles folder, then decided to use clear embossing powder after I cuttlebugged and used the heat gun to set. (That's why the strips are shiny) I stamped the snowman onto GP White cs with black stazon as well as the stars. I then sponged with More Mustard ink around the snowman, then colored with my BIC Mark It markers. I used a 2 way glue on the snowflakes and sprinkled Diamond Dust. I also did the same thing to make the glittery snow. The image is raised with 3D squares.
Thanks for the great challenge, this is my first inspiration one too.

Snowflake Tree

I got this idea off the web from a craft site, except I added bling. I punched out about 25 snowflake punches with the MS Snowflake punch. The colors are mellow moss cs, real red cs and bazzill green cs. I used GP white cs as the base. I made a triangle template and traced lightly with a pencil onto the white cs and used that as my guide to stick the snowflakes on. I used 2 way glue on the back of each snowflake on the center so the ends could stick up a little. I added self stick rhinestones to the red snowflakes and draped a pearl ribbon with zots. I stamped the phrase with versa mark ink and embossed with red ep.

Twinkling Stars

I finally had the chance to actually finish a challenge card which is SC205 on the same day....after a long day's of work it's always hard for me during the week.
I started with Bazzill Burg cs as the base. I used GP White cs and layered with mellow moss, ran it through the CB Swiss Dots Folder on each piece. I added 2 poinsettia dew drops to each corner. One of my special pen pals sent me a 1/2 sheet of triangles xmas dp so I cut out 3 of them, they are raised with 3D dots. I didn't have any gold stars so I used my versa mark pen on 3 silver brads and embossed with gold ep and used the heat gun to set. I cut the backs of the brads and added tiny 3D dots. I used the MS snowflake punch and added a burg rhinestone brad for the center and again cut the backs off. I then used burg and gold wide ribbon.
I enjoyed doing this challenge and there's no stamping either.

Cuttlebug ornament

I seen this idea from looking at someone's blog, but I can't remember who. If someone knows, by all means let me know. I bought the small clear square ornaments at Hobby Lobby, there's 6 in a box for $4.99, however they were 40% last week....I should of bought more, next time I will because I sure like the way this turned out. I used my Cuttlebug Scallop large square for the silver and the Cuttlebug Scallop medium square on Borade Blue cs. I used double sided tape. I then used the MS snowflake punch and it's raised using a pop dot. I had these shinny mini snowflake trim, cut the holes off, added them with a pop dot and attached a self stick rhinestone for the centers. I then tied a silver bow and added the silver string for the hanger. I'm making these again......easy peasy! FYI, the CB Scallop Square die cut (large) fits perfect on the square. I did it the same way on all 4 sides. I haven't decided if I wanted to do the same for the bottom.
TFL!

Shaker Pop Up Gift Card Holder

This was a different but fun challenge for me. I had fun making this and I knew I wanted to make a shaker ornament so I figured this would be perfect for this challenge which is TLC193 & TLC196. I started this the other day and I was determined to finish it the next day. Since I didn't have to get up the following day and maybe sleep in, I stayed up until 1:00am and finally got it finished. FYI, I didn't get to sleep in neither because I had my youngest daughter saying she wanted to eat cereal at 6:30am.

Chocolate Anyone?

I've wanted to try and make a mini pizza box. I basically used the same directions but I modified my box and made it smaller than normal. It gave me the chance to use my new Scor-Pal. I don't know why I didn't buy that tool sooner, I just love it. I made this box for the LSC195 Chocolate Challenge. I'm going to either put hot cocoa inside or yummy chocolate. I didn't have any dark brown prima flowers so I took my Timber Brown Stazon and sponged it on a light brown flower.

Anyone want some tea?

I wanted to make a "Thinking of You" card for my BIL's 83yr old mother. She had fallen and broke her leg and now she's depressed. Her DH had passed away a few years ago and I think she feels tired and just doesn't want to get out of bed. She's always liked my homemade cards so I thought I would make her this cute image with the teacup.
