I've been married for 16yrs now on June 14th (Flag Day). I have 2 wonderful daughters ages 10 and 12. I'm originally from San Diego, I've been in Colorado for 12 yrs now. Love it, just miss the beach. I have a twin sister who's also into stamping and quilting. I've been stamping for over 14 years now. I'm also an avid quilter for 25yrs. My mom took my twin sister and I to our first quilting/sewing class when we were 18yrs old and I've been making quilts ever since. My other hobby besides crafting is being on our Harley with my husband.
Since I became a Stampin' Up demostrator, I decided to start playing more with my rubber stamps. I took a little break from making cards & decided to make cards. I used SU Bermuda Bay ink & card stock. The butterflies are the SU Sizzix Embosslits Beautiful Wings & I added pearls. I also used teal thread to sew around the GP white card stock.
I took a break on bag making because it was time to make cards for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. All cards will be sent to MD Anderson Cancer Clinic in Texas. Every October for the 5th year now, I've been making cards to support the card drive. There's 35 different challenges everyday in October, I like to make 100 cards. It's always a nice feeling knowing that the patients will get to pick & choose what cards they want to send their families & friends.
I've been making so many Runaround Bags by Lazy Girl Designs, as of today I've made 107 bags. It's finished sizes are 7x9 but you could make them any size you want. I'll be making all sorts of sizes in the near future. Once you make 1, there's no turning back...you will get addicted.
The giraffe was made upon request, the lady wanted something to do with giraffes for her granddaughter. All fabrics are 100% cotton & I used polyester batting. The musical tote bag was a request by the same lady who's granddaughter loves music.
