I am here to share my creations with you. I love making cards using rubber stamps. I also enjoy quilting whenever I get the chance. You can contact me by clicking on my profile, then you'll see my email. Thanks for visiting.
I've been married for 16yrs now on June 14th (Flag Day). I have 2 wonderful daughters ages 9 and 10. I'm originally from San Diego, I've been in Colorado for 12 yrs now. Love it, just miss the beach. I have a twin sister who's also into stamping and quilting. I've been stamping for over 8 years now. I'm also an avid quilter for 25yrs. My mom took my twin sister and I to our first quilting/sewing class when we were 18yrs old and I've been making quilts ever since.
My 9 year daughter seen the pattern for the Run Around Bags by Lazy Girl at Joanns. She picked out her own fabrics which is the teal zig zag. I made it for her & of course, my other daughter who is 11 years old had to have a bag too so I took her to Joanns, she picked out the cool head phone fabric. I will be making more of these especially since this was my 1st zipper project too.
Ever since I made a few quilted tote bags for my 2 daughters 4th & 5th grade teachers, I've had several requests to make more & people are buying them. All fabrics I use are 100% cotton with polyester batting.
I've been playing with my new Inspire by Spellbinders Bike Die. I was given the fence strips & thought I make a summer type card using the bicycle. Everything is a die cut on the card except for the butterfly & pearl. The clouds are by Joy Crafts then ran through the Cuttlebug Big Dot Folder, The tall grass is by PoppyStamps Grassland Border, the small grass is Impression Obsession & the flowers are by Sherry Lynn Designs called Baby's Breath Flower Kit. I used light teal & kraft card stock & added a prima flower with pearls. I'm including this card in the Cut It Challenges #45 for bike month. http://cutitupchallenges.blogspot.com/2014/05/national-bicycle-month-challenge-45.html
I made this for my Secret Sister in a card making group on Face Book. We swap things each month so I decided to make something with paper. I used a great tutorial by Dawn on you tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbro7UCpKos&feature=related I will be making more of these as small gifts or just to give away.
I made this using a lattice cut that I received from someone in a card making group on Face Book. We swap die cuts or punches. I used Spellbinders Oval Dies to create the oval, matted the lattice & made another cut matching the oval to have a clean finish on the inside. I used My Favorite Things Leaves dies & used the Stampin' Up Mixed Blossom Punch to create the rose. I punched out 5 flowers. I'm entering this over at http://scrapbookblessings.blogspot.com/2014/04/challenge-17-flower-power.html to make your flowers. All papers used is GP White Card Stock..
I got this idea from Pinterest so I thought I would try it & make my own changes. I added pearls after I used the hot glue on the chocolate rolos. I stamped the flowers twice in each color (front & back), then punched with the Stampin' Up Mixed Punch. I used green popsicle sticks & glued them to the flowers. The flowers are then poked into a styrofoam ball then added Easter grass. I thought it needed to have more chocolate so I put chocolate eggs around the flowers. I found some gold ribbon in my stash, tied a ribbon bow. I'm putting in the mini challenge called Anything Goes over at Scrapbook Blessings Challenge #16 http://scrapbookblessings.blogspot.com/2014/03/challenge-16-anything-goes-mini.html
I belong to several swap groups & I received several of these cute bunnies. The bunny is from Cricut Create A Critter. I bought a bag of double sided eggs cuts in the Easter section at Hobby Lobby. I snipped the grass & decided the bunny needed a flower.
